Bit of news…
I decided to part ways with WLM [White Label Music]. They did a good job with my Treefella [EP], but things were taking far too long to progress. So…
Album – ‘Pop Goes The People!’ will be released digitally via the ever reliable Herb Recordings on Aug 1st 2012. There might be a self-released CD too, I’m working on some designs…
Prior to that I will be releasing an EP which is called [ H O L D ], on May 1st @ http://myheadisaballoon.co.uk It will be a ‘name your price’ release, so essentially ‘free’, although a little donation is always welcomed.
I’ve been busy making music under other aliases, but now this weight has been lifted off my chest I fancy I’ll start making a new Myheadisaballoon record asap.

Hopefully I’ll have my debut album out this year, FINALLY!
It’s been a long wait, and I still can’t say for sure when it will be released, so again it’s a case of watch this space…

No news on an official release date for my ‘Pop Goes The People!’ album yet, however, there have been some further developments.
The album was originally going to be 15 tracks long, but after having time to listen back through it over the past few months I’ve decided 15 tracks is too many and I’ve whittled them down to 10.
The 5 tracks that have been omitted from the album have been made into an EP…
The Album Tracklisting is now as follows:

The album is pencilled in for release in the first quarter of 2012, with the EP to follow shortly after that, so keep your eyes & ears peeled;)
There should also be the Treefella [REMIXES] EP coming out before the album, but I’m still waiting for Remixers to get their arses in gear and sort them out!

Hi.
All’s gone a bit quiet here up in the clouds…
There’s still plenty of ‘stuff’ in the pipeline, but my label & I have decided my album ‘Pop Goes The People!’ should be held back from release for a while, so it should see the light of day early 2012.
The reason for this is so we can give a bit more time to promotion, I can quietly work away on the CD’s artwork, and also on compiling the Treefella Remixes [EP], these things take time;)
I’ve also been rather busy with my alter-ego Kingbastard. A new EP called ‘Brainfunk’ is set for release soon [October 3rd 2011] and I’m also currently writing/recording a new KB album, a follow up to my 2010 record ‘Beautiful Isolation’, which is nearing completion and should also be seeing the light of day in 2012, fingers crossed…
I’ll keep this blog updated with any news on release dates and other such things, for now, toodle pop!

Hi folks, Myheadisaballoon here.
I’ve started this little blog to keep people who are interested in my music & artwork up-to-date on any new releases, news, developments, future projects, free downloads etc etc..
First off, Myheadisaballoon is my alias for music I create in a lo-fi/alternative-pop style or
‘Black Pop‘.
I also create Electronic/Alternative music under the name Kingbastard: http://kingbastardmusic.com
I’ve recently signed Myheadisaballoon to White Label Music [WLM] and Tourettes Publishing, who will be releasing my debut album ‘Pop Goes The People!‘
The album is finished and is now in the promo stages whilst we decide the best plan of action to take with regards to release formats/promotion/advertising/distribution…

If all goes according to plan a single or EP will be released physically & digitally in May, followed by a Remix EP then the physical & digital album in Sept 2011.
The single/EP is the track Treefella with extra exclusive non-album tracks. The Remixes EP will be variations of Treefella, an update on who the remixers are will be featured soon, once they are fully confirmed.
